The pirate is one of the POLYGUNS armors that boosts damage, and a full set will multiply damage by 1.9 times (this allows most snipers to one-shot). Pirate armor also massively increases machine gun DPS, but it also reduces player health, so it's very easy to one-shot a pirate.
